Removing bed bugs from belongings

Posted by admin in Posts

High heat is the bed bug’s worst nightmare. The bed bug thermal death-point for bed bugs at all stages is approximately 120 degrees Fahrenheit (you will also sometimes hear as low as 112 degrees, but know that the higher the temperature, the better). Using high heat is a great way for removing bed bugs from your belongings, as long as the heat is sustained for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Some very useful items for bed bug removal from your belongings are the Packtite Portable Heating Unit and the Green Clean Dissolvable Laundry Bags. Of course, there are other existing alternatives but to start, these two items are provenly effective.

The Green Clean Laundry Bag is an existing technology used in the medical field for over 30 years that has recently found a great purpose in bed bug elimination. The product essentially simplifies the laundry process during your bed bug infestation by providing a safe and easy to use laundry bag that dissolves along with your laundry load, during the washing cycle. Water temperature must be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit in order for the bag to dissolve in the water. The Green Clean Dissolvable Laundry Bag eliminates the need for discarding or decontaminating a pre-existing laundry bag or container you may have. The Green Clean Laundry Bags however, are quite expensive, with 10 bags at $16.99 USD – and climbing as you purchase higher quantities. However, we believe that any bed bug control and management plan must exercise meticulous attention to detail, and using dissolvable laundry bags is a great way to keep track of non-infested items from infested items. This will help you in your bed bug eliminating activities quite a bit and provide you some peace of mind.

PackTite, item for heating bug infested items

PackTite retails for approximately $300

PackTite is another highly regarded item that works as a portable heating oven for all of your belongings that are not launderable (think shoes, books, toys, metals, etc.). The inside contains a metal frame, with racks to place your items. The inside lining also contains a slick material that bed bugs cannot climb on, thus eliminating escape routes for bed bugs. The PackTite can sustain high temperatures for up to 6 hours if desired, a surefire way for eliminating bed bugs from your belongings. You could certainly use the PackTite for clothes, but your standard clothes dryer will do the trick.

It is recommended that you keep all items suspected to be infested with bed bugs inside of the PackTite for at least 4 hours. Only place items inside that can withstand high heat (120 – 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for a sustained period of time.

Both of the items outlined above can be purchased at major bed bug supply retailer, USBedBugs.com. Just follow the banners throughout this article to purchase from their site and read about these and other bed bug related items.

This site has horrible information. It should be noted that the best method for getting rid of bed bugs is to freeze them. Any pest control expert can attest to this. The heat method takes more energy and is not cost efficient. Please do more research before putting nonsense up just to get some extra traffic to this pathetic blog.
